MARIANO
MANCHENO SEGARRA
I
was born in 1953 in Melilla, a Spanish colonial city in the north of Africa.
My mother is a painter, my aunt is a painter, my uncle is a painter. So, since I
was a child, besides of having a lot of sun beating down on my head, I became accustomed to handling pencils,
brushes, turpentine, etc.
At
the age of 15 I moved to Madrid and studied art at the Artium Academy . Madrid
smelled of petrol and was very crowded.
Once I finished my studies of medicine,
I moved (came) to Altea. We are already in the year 1979.
I've
taken part in lots of collective exhibitions that I won't mention here so
as not
to bore you.
